2562. Davis, R. H. Feb. 17. Submarine vessels.-An open chamber having a front guard and observation window is fitted to a submarine vessel for the accommodation of one or more divers, each diver being supplied with air from reservoirs f. The air flows in the direction indicated by the arrows, a purifier j being arranged in the circuit. If it is necessary to pass outside the chamber or shelter, a long length of flexible tubing leads directly from the reservoirs to the helmet of each diver. Each chamber b may be fitted with doors l<1>, l<2> to allow the divers to pass inboard. The vessel is fitted with the means for passing tools in or out described in Specification 8008/15, and with the means for observing described in Specification 8009/15.
