Traversers. -A surface traverser is formed with the carriage rails d arranged on the inner edges of portions e connected by a relatively light member k. The portions e are provided with the traversing- wheels f and motive power, and are provided on their outer edges with either balance weights h or with vertical girder structures connected overhead in pairs to balance the weight of the vehicle to he moved on the traversing-wheels.
