Starting. - A priming-charge is drawn into the induction pipe C through a pipe E, which extends near to the bottom of a vessel F adapted to receive a measured quantity of petrol from the carburettor, or from the storage tank. Air passes through the pipe after the petrol has been drawn up. An outlet F<x> from the vessel keeps it empty during normal running.
