Abstract
12,316. Stephens, H. H. May 24, Starting.-To facilitate starting in connexion with spray carburettors, a well or cup to which fuel may be supplied is provided in the induction pipe between the carburettor and the engine. The cup E may be attached by soldering or otherwise to the pipe F, or, in modifications, it may be formed by a depression in the pipe, by inserting a cup through the wall of the pipe, by suspending a cup from the fuel-supply pipe, or by forming an annular recess by a conical sleeve in the pipe. In all cases, the fuel is supplied to the cup from a tank such as A provided with a cock C. The tank has an air-cock D.
