Abstract
18,773. Buffum, H. H., and Pierson, R. M. Aug. 18. Fluids, regulating volume of flow or pressure of.-A carburettor choke-tube is formed by a series of thin overlapping plates or strips which are normally extended to give the choke-tube its greatest diameter, diminution of the diameter being effected by endlong pressure on the plates. The choke-tube 19 is formed by normally flexed thin spring-steel or bronze strips 20, Fig. 3, the ends of which are preferably let into notches in rings 21 and secured by solder. The rings are surrounded by tubes 26, 27, Fig. 1, the upper ring being depressed to vary the size of the choke-tube by a cam 28 actuated by a lever 30.
