18,528. Foster, W. H. Aug. 11. Ball and float valves; fluids, regulating pressure of.-The float lever 7 of a ball cock is provided with a cam-part 7<1> adapted to engage a lever 3 pivoted at 3<1>. The lever 3 passes through a slot 1<1> in an horizontally-arranged plunger 1, which carries the valve 5. The valve seat 8<1> is provided with an extension 8 extending into the inlet pipe and having its outer end closed by a perforated plate 8<2> shielded from the direct action of the fluid current by a member 10 adjustably secured to the extension.
