Abstract

26,149. Stidder, J. G., and Drake, W. Nov. 27. Oscillating-disc valves; ball and float valves.-In a tap or cock, the communication between the inlet D and the outlet E is controlled by a disc A mounted on the square end of a spindle C. The casing is made in two parts screwed together, and at the bottom of the upper part is formed a seating for the disc A. A port F in the disc A can be brought opposite one or more parts leading to the outlet opening. A ball float-valve is constructed in a similar manner, the oscillating disc being mounted on a horizontal spindle.
