Abstract

[Published under Section 91 of the Act.] [Addition to 16,580/14.] Cylinders, cooling; exhaustsilencers. - The means for causing a flow of a gas as described in the parent Specification, consisting in using jets of a fluid under pressure to induce a flow of gas, is used in the cooling of engine cylinders. The exhaust pipe 16 is placed in a pipe 14 connected to a ribbed jacket 12, the exhaust causing a flow of air over the ribs on the cylinder 10.. The mixed gases then enter the silencer, 17, consisting of a box with a perforated pipe 18.
