Detachable-rim attachments to wheels.-Solid rubber tyres of the 'band' type are secured to the machined rim a, Fig. 1, by a system of fixed and detachable wedges having, curved surfaces. The fixed wedges c are secured to the rim in pairs with their thick ends in contact. The movable wedges d are forced apart by transversely-adjustable wedges i, Fig. 3. The contacting surfaces of the wedges with the rim and band a are respectively the'same. The contacting surfaces of the wedges are on a radius intermediate between those of the rim and band.
