Abstract

19,940. Carmont, W. H. Sept. 3. Non-metallic elastic bodies and cores; tread bands, projections, and surfaces; tyre attachments to rims.-The tyre comprises cover 2 of ordinary rubber, a core 5 of soft rubber, and a wood or other security ring 8, the core being compressed on forcing the rim flanges 13 into position. The tread may be formed with enlargements 1 having apertures 7 through which projections 6 on the core may pass, as shown in Figs. 3 and 6.
