Abstract

13,467. Eichenbergrer, F. June 2. Impregnating-compositions.-Hats of woollen or other materials are waterproofed by successively immersing in the following baths:- (1) the clear solution obtained after mixing solutions of alum and lead acetate, allowing sediment to settle, and cooling to 5‹ C. ; (2) a solution of Marseilles soap and sodium silicate in water; (3) a dilute solution of alum in water. Drying is effected in an oven.
