Abstract
To prevent saltpetre efflorescence on walls, the parts are scaled, washed with water containing 4 per cent formaldehyde, and coated with cement or lime mixed with water also containing 4 per cent formaldehyde. A top coating of plaster is mixed with water containing 4 per cent formaldehyde and about 5 per cent alum.
