545,805. Waterproofing plaster. BRITISH PLASTER BOARD, Ltd., CAFFERATA, B. J., HADDON, C. L., and CAFFERATA, G. W. Nov. 8, 1940, No. 16257. [Class 22] Pre-cast articles of gypsum plaster or gypsum cement are made resistant to erosion by running water by immersion in aqueous solutions of the ammonium, sodium or potassium salts of oxalic or phosphoric acid, or, if the plaster or cement contains calcium carbonate and/or lime, of oxalic acid, the strength of the solution being about 10 per cent. where the period of immersion is about 24 hours, and lower or higher where the period is longer or shorter, respectively. The treated article may be polished with a hard wax polish.
