11,589. Oliver, Ltd., Mrs., Hall, Lady S. M., and Woods, E. M. May 11. [Cognate Application, 20,049/14.] Blankets; rugs, travclling and like.-A sleeping-blanket, which, according to the Provisional Specification, is adapted for motoring and other travelling purposes and for use by soldiers on active service, comprises a centre portion 1, Fig. 1, the end of which is doubled back over the user, and side-pieces 2 approximately half the length of the portion 1, which are also folded over, the top 3 of the blanket being shaped to fit the neck and shoulders of the user. A hood may be provided; or an extra piece of material may be sewn to the neck portion so as to be capable of being folded over some article to form a pillow. Slits 4 are provided through which the user may thrust his arms, the slits being normally covered by portions 5. The centre portion 1 may be equal in length to the side-pieces, and be stitched at 6, Fig. 3, to the ends of these pieces; or the fold of the centre portion may be stitched to the ends of the side-pieces. The blanket may be of ordinary blanketing with a loose cover of waterproof material or with a strip of waterproof material on its under surface; or it may be of any material, or of waterproof material containing eiderdown.
