It is to be noted that the three .members making up the necktie are stitched together on the normally concealed sides of the face members and that when the necktie is turned inside out, the normally exposed faces come into view and the stitching at the side edges becomes concealed inside the necktie, the side edges showing a line of infoiding of the two face members but no stitching whatever is visible at the side edges.

It is to be noted that the necktie lining may comprise one or more layers, as is the case when thin covering material 'is used for summer wear.

I claim: e

l. A three-ply necktie or four-in-hand comprising a fabric covering of two dissimilarly ornamented face members and a lining stitched together along both side edges, said lining having an unstitched knot making portion of less width than the width of the covering members cf the tie at said portion, said narrow width lining portion being unconnected with said face members and being in offset relation with the longitudinal mid-portion of said tie, said fabric covering and said lining being of the same length and the stitching along the side edges being concealed inside the tie.

2. A three-ply necktie or four-in-hand having thereon a fabric covering made of two dissimilarly ornamented blanks of the same size and shape by means of two seams lengthwise thereof, a lining of the same size and shape as the covering members secured at both side edges thereof by said seams to said covering interiorly'of the latter, at least one portion on said lining in offset relation with the longitudinal mid-portion-of the necktie being reduced in width lengthwise thereof, whereat said tie may be readily formed into a knot without undue bulkiness, said fabric covering and said lining being of the same length and the stitching along the side edges being concealed inside the necktie.

A three-ply or four-in-hand necktie having thereon a fabric covering comprising two separate and dissimilarly ornamented members which may be interchangeably used as the front and rear of the necktie, a lining stitched to said fabric covering members along their side edges, said necktie terminating in V-shaped closed ends with the lining ends secured by stitching to said face members, at least one portion of said lining in offset relation from the longitudinal mid-portion of the necktie being loose and unconnected and in semi-floating relation intermediate said front and rear face members, said fabric covering and said lining being of the same length and the stitching along the side edges being concealed inside the necktie.

4. A necktie or four-in-hand having thereon a fabric covering comprising two separate and dissimilarly ornamented members of the same size and shape which may be interchangeably used as the front and rear of the necktie, lining means of the same size and shape as the covering members secured at both side edges thereof by seams to said covering interiorly of the latter, said necktie terminating in V-shaped closed ends with the ends of the lining means secured by stitching to said covering members, at least one portion on said lining means being reduced in width lengthwise thereof and free from attachment to said covering, whereby said tie may be readily formed into a knot without undue bulkiness,` said fabric covering and said lining means being of the same length and the stitching along the side edges being concealed inside the necktie while the stitching along the V-shaped ends is exposed.
