Description

    CROSS REFERENCED TO RELATED APPLICATION
  • This application claims the benefit of U.S. Provisional Application Ser. No. 63/102,619, filed on Jun. 23, 2020, entitled “PORTABLE HEATED CAPE BLANKET,” which is incorporated herein by reference.
  • INVENTION BACKGROUND AND SUMMARY 1. Field of the Invention
  • This invention relates to heated blankets for use in unpleasant outdoor cold and wet weather while attending sporting events, camping and the like as well as for comfort while at home.
  • 2. Description of Related Art
  • There are other coat or blanket product devices on the market for use to keep warm and dry in various inclement weather settings. One such product is a heated snuggle wrap which features microlight fabric on the front and back for added comfort and warmth. Another is the Catalonia Sherpa Fleece Blanket with Sleeves and Pockets that can be worn while you are reading, playing, watching TV on bed or sofa. Still other products like the Heated Wearable Blanket is a cozy electric throw with sleeves that allows you to stay warm from neck to toe while your hands stay free for reading, knitting or other activities. However, none of these products provide the portability and practicability of a waterproof battery operated portable heated cape blanket for outdoor inclement weather settings as well as comfort at home.
  • 3. Invention Summary
  • This invention is a portable waterproof rechargeable battery operated heated cape blanket designed with an element to keep you warm and dry anywhere, creating comfort while attending outdoor events. The cape and blanket has a heating element powered by a rechargeable battery. The cape and blanket is waterproof and can be folded and zipped shut for storage and transport. It comes with a hood that has a quick disconnect for removal. It also heats up with heat setting of low, medium and high similar to an electric blanket and can be manufactured in a variety of different sizes and colors. It will be constructed of waterproof material as an outer layer with a soft microfleece inner layer for comfort and a front zipper.
