Bakers' ovens; charging and discharging.- Conveyer apparatus for transporting goods through heating, drying, or cooling chambers comprises the combination of one or more mechanically-operated endless belts with one or more gravity conveyers of the roller-way type. As shown in connexion with a bakers' oven, trays e with the goods are first carried by an endless belt conveyer a, inclined upwards in the direction of travel, and are then transferred to an inclined roller-way f extending to the rear end of the oven. At this point, the trays are passed, by a rocking quadrant w, on to a second roller-way x, by which they are returned to the front end, where the goods are removed. The trays are lifted to the level of the conveyer a by endless belts 6. The quadrant w and the elevator 6 are both driven from the shaft h of the conveyer a.
