Sash fasteners, pivoted-arm type.-In a sashfastener of the kind in which an arm, pivoted on the lower sash, has a drop catch handle at one end and a hook at the other end engaging with a catch plate on the upper sash, the handle e<4>, which is L-shaped, and is pivoted to the arm E at e<3>, is secured when the hook e<1> of the arm is in the locking position by a turn-button F passing through a slot. The plate A, which carries the part F, and on which the arm E is pivoted, is also L-shaped. The Provisional Specification describes a modified arrangement, in which the drop catch handle is secured by a screw, instead of by a turn-button.
