2037. Bean, W. Jan. 26. Aerial machines with aerostats; aerostats; propelling; steering.-A dirigible balloon comprises a series of separate gas-containers A, B, C, D, each containing a ballonet A<1>, B<1>, C<1>, D<1>, and held in place upon a girder frame E solely by a net F. The girder comprises two parallel lattice frames which converge upwardly and inwardly at the ends and are connected together by cross bracing. The main propellers K, rudders L, elevators H, and fixed stabilizing planes G are mounted on the girder E. Tanks and radiators for the engine and a platform for guns or men may be mounted on the girder. The engine is carried in the suspended car M. One or more auxiliary propellers 0 may be mounted on the car and adapted to swivel with adjustments of the elevator or rudder or both.
