Aerial machines with aerostats, aerostats; cars and cabins; frame work; planes, arrangement of; propelling; steering; floats, arrangement of.-An aircraft is constructed with a longitudinal aerostat and two elongated transverse parallel enclosing frames upon which are mounted side and upper sustaining-planes. The pro. pellers, engines, controlling planes, and two float members are aLso attached to these frames. The transverse frames A, A<1> are built up of T- section bars 1, 2, 3, 4, and struts 6. Radial members 42, which pass through the aerostat D to radial members 9, are also used. External struts 16 support the floats B. The aerostat frame is octagonal in section and formed of transverse frames connected by longitudinals, the transverse frames having an inner circular frame braced to the octagonal outer frame and suitable cross stays 21. An outer cover is used, and there is a gasbag between each pair of frames. A cabin C is placed at the bottom of the aerostat. Tandem biplanes F, with tractor and pusher propellers 39 and driving engines, are mounted on the two frames A, A<1>. In addition, pivoted controlling- planes G are placed between the wings of each biplane member. Directional control is effected by a rudder E, pivoted to the central rod 5 of the framework of the after main frame A'. Above the main frames an additional central biplane H is fitted, and planes J may be fitted to the floats.
