[Cognate Application, 3988/14.] Registering webs.-A device for the transverse registering of webs fed to stentering-machines &c. comprises sets of two or more rollers A adjustably mounted on spindles b, c carried on arms D, which are reciprocated in opposite directions by means of links E connected to crank-disks F. Some or all of the rollers may be provided at one or both ends with springs i and may be parallel and smooth as shown, or they may be conical, grooved, or serrated, and may be covered with some material such as india-rubber or leather.
