Rotary - mould - tabLe machines ; processes. - In agglomerating coal &c., the material is subjected in a closed mould, firstly to a light pressure to expel air, secondly to a higher pressure to expel fluids or liquids, thirdly to a still higher pressure to render the body homogeneous, and fourthly to a slight pressure to tighten up any cracks. Apparatus for carrying out the process comprises a rotary table A furnished with moulds B<1>, B', &c. fitted with pistons C', C<2>, &c., which are adapted to be operated upon successively by hydraulic pistons I, II, III, IIII, having the relative areas 1 : 2 : 4 : 1. The pressure may be produced solely by mechanical or other means.
