Abstract

29,348. Vidal, H. M. Dec. 20, 1912, [Convention date]. Powder blowers.-Apparatus for distributing sulphur or other powder comprises a receptacle 1, Fig. 1, for the powder, with a lid 3 abutting against felt 4 arranged in an annular rim, and a bellows 5 fixed on the receptacle and operated by a rod 6 connected to a hand-lever fixed on a shaft 9. The shaft 9 is also provided with a brush 10 and arms 11. The powder passes through openings in the bottom of the receptacle and in an adjustable slide 13 to a chamber 15. Air is driven through a sinuous conduit 20 connected to one end of the chamber 15, and the powder is blown through a flexible tube secured on a hinged cover at the other end of the chamber. The nozzle consists of a conical member 21, Fig. 4, within which is secured a corrugated conical member 22.
