Mud - guards carried by wheels comprise a ring 3 of rubber or like material clamped between an inner ring 5 and outer ring 4 by screws 8 having their heads countersunk in the outer ring, which has an inturned flange or lugs 9 provided with slots 10 through which pass bolts 11 or like securing-means to hold the mud-guard at varying distances from the wheel.
