Abstract

2429. Jackson, F. T. Feb. 2. Mud - guards.- Splash guards in the form of segmental or sectorshaped plates attached to the sides of the mud-guards of cycles, motorcycles, motor-cars, &c. are secured by the engagement of studs upon one part with slots upon the other, the two parts being locked together by screws and nuts or their equivalents. As shown in Fig. 1, studs 11 upon the mudguard 3 are arranged to engage key-hole slots 12 in the splash guard 2, the two parts being secured together by fly - nuts upon screws 13 which pass through slots 14.
