Blades.-Blades e are fixed by a channel strip d engaging a ring c at the outer edge of an opening in the stator ring a and by a channel strip or an angle strip f to a ring g at the inner edge of this opening. The ring c is riveted and the ring g fixed by screws h to the fixed stator ring, which may be formed from a rolled steel plate in which apertures are cut leaving spokes a<2>, as shown in Fig. 1, or may be built up of separate rings connected by bars, rods, or tubes k, as shown in Fig. 7. Specification 24,657/12 is referred to.
