Spring wheels with continuous outer rigid ring and helical springs.-Relates to wheels of the type in which inner and outer rims are connected by telescopic casings containing helical springs acting simultaneously in compression. The outer rim M, Figs. 3 and 4, carries side plates E so as to form circumferential grooves in which slide flanges K on the outer casings Z. The inner casings P can move only radially upon fixed studs Q with heads I. Projections U on the inner rim engage between projections Y on the outer casings to prevent their angular movement around the inner rim. The springs rest at their inner ends upon the bottoms of the inner casings and their outer ends engage in turn the heads I or seats W on the outer casings. Normally, the heads I are spaced slightly from the ends of the springs.
