Abstract

16,420. Ashby, F., and Smith, A. J. July 17. Luggage-carriers.-A cycle carrier is provided with an auxiliary clip device for holding a cape &c. Bow spring arms 2 are hingedly attached at 1 to a rod across the inner end of the carrier ; the arms may be raised to allow the cape &c. to he put into position, and when lowered to grip the cape are held in position by turn-levers 6 which engage curved inner extensions 7 of the arms. When the clip is not in use, the arms may be turned down through gaps in the carrier plate and their free ends 8 engaged with the tnrned-up lower edge 9 of the carrier clamping- plate. According to the Provisional Specification, the clip arms may be hinged to the side of the carrier.
