[A d d i t i o n t o 13,353/13.] Filtering.-The cleaning-brushes 6 which reciprocate between the folds of the filter described in the parent Specification are p r ovided with cable guiding devices. In the form shown, two cable guiding devices a, f and g, n are provided, part of each cable is replaced by a chain u or v, the brushes are driven through the medium of sprockets d, k engaging the chains, and t h e sprockets are mounted on the same shaft o to ensure uniformity of movement. Further, each cable is in two parts which pass over three of the rollers and are secured to opposite sides of the frame 46 carrying the brushes.
