Abstract

Rotary-tool implements.-A rotary harrow comprises a turntable 23 which is journaled on a vertical shaft 22 resiliently supported on a bracket 16 carried by a main frame, and which is provided with slots 24 through which spiked disintegrating wheels 33 project, these wheels being carried by resilient members secured on the turntable. The main frame is mounted on wheels 2 which drive a transverse shaft 5 through gearwheels 3, 4 which may be moved into or out of mesh by levers 11. Bevel gearing connects the shaft 5 with a sprocket-wheel 15 over which runs a chain 27 passing round a sprocket-wheel on the turntable 23. Chains 30 connect the main frame with a ring within which the turntable rotates on roller bearings. After the soil has been broken up by the disintegrating wheels 33 it is smoothed down by the outer surface of the turntable.
