Chairs with adjustable jaws ; chair keys ; chairs, securing to sleepers ; chairs.-Chairs for main and guard rails comprise supports to which the main and guard rails are secured, the guard-rail support 11, Fig. 2, being seated in a recess 10 in the mainrail support 2, and adjusted by keys 25, 27 secured by bendable wedges 26, 29. The main and guard rails 7, 12 are secured against abutments 6, 14 on their supports 2, 11 by keys 8, 17 and bendable wedges 9, 18. The key 27 moves the rail 12 towards the rail 7, and the key 25 separates them. The support 2 has flanges 2<a> gripping the sides of the sleeper. In a modification, Fig. 11, the guardrail support 11<1> is adjusted by keys 27<1>, 30 secured by bendable wedges, while the key 8<1> for the main rail abuts against a projection on the support 11<1>. In each case, the base flanges of the guard and main rails overlap without any reduction in size.
