6666. Sapal Soc. Anon. des Plieuses Automatiques. April 19, 1912, [Convention date]. Packeting by wrapping-up.-Relates to machines for wrapping disk-shaped articles in tin foil &c. The article s is fed by a plunger 5 on to a strip which supplies the wrappers u, and both are seized by tongs 6 which draw them forward beneath a finger 7. Knives 39 sever the strip and the fingers 7, 14 coact to carry down the article and wrapper through the circular aperture 25 of a plate 23, which is hinged at 24 to rest loosely on the top of the packet. Grippers 37 hold the sides of the article while the plate moves as shown in Fig. 8 to fold down the foil on the top of the disk, and a slide 26 completes the folding by ejecting the packet as shown in Fig. 10.
