Cutting-edges, treating. - Relates to apparatus for grinding lawn-mower and like cylinders, and comprises the use of a lay-shaft 3, secured to the machine frame 5, and having loosely mounted thereon a stepped pulley 6 to which is secured a chain-wheel 7, a belt 11 connecting the pulley to a pulley 12 fixed to the spindle of the cylinder 1 of the lawn-mower, this spindle being carried by bearings 2. The pulley on the lay-shaft is driven by a chain from a chain-wheel 9 fixed to the countershaft 10 of the machine. The pulley 12 may have removable bushes, so that a single pulley may be mounted on spindles of different sizes.
