Liquids, purifying.-Relates to au improvement in the process described in Specification 7669/12 for improving water for brewing and malting purposes. The water is heated in an open tank and stirred strongly, either by the action of the heating- steam, or by mechanical stirring-devices, or by both, and then freed from the precipitates, such as calcium and magnesium carbonates, by filtering or decanting. Exhaust steam may be used for heating.
