In a razor having means for rocking the blade when stropping so that opposite sides are presented to the strop, the carrier for the rocking means is pivotally mountedon a pin between the arms c of the frame and can be turned so that the roller or rollers k, which rock the blade bythe gearing i, j, may engage a strop passing through the frame, Fig. 6, or outside it. The blade is pivoted between the plates d of the carrier, and two rollers l are provided to prevent rotation of the carrier when stropping.
