Metallic-spring bodies and cores.-A series of springs 15 have their outer portions 21 recessed into cleats 22 connected to a flexible tread 23 which may be of chain-like structure. The inner ends 17 of the springs are secured in rods 10, which are adjustable with respect to the inner and outer rims 8, 7 by means of threaded sockets 13 fitted as shown. A flexible cover 18 is clamped to the rims by side plates 19.
