Draught &c. excluders. - A hinged flap mounted on the bottom of a door, and raised by a spring when the door is opened, is pressed down on to the floor, when the door is closed, by a two-armed lever pivoted on the door, one arm of the lever engaging the door jamb and the other arm engaging, or being connected to, the hinged flap. In the arrangement shown in Figs. 6, 7, and 10, the hinged flap 1 is mounted on the side towards which the door 3 opens, and the longer arm of the lever 18, 19, pivoted at 20 to the door, engages an arm 7 mounted on the hinged flap. In the arrangement shown in Fig. 18, the flap is mounted on the side to which the door closes, and the two-armed lever is mounted with its longer arm 21 beneath the flap, to which it is connected by an adjustable link 25. Stops may be provided to limit the movement of the flap and the lever; and the flap may be operated from the opening edge of the door instead of from the hinged edge as shown. According to the Provisional Specification, the flap may be pressed down on the floor by an adjustable arm which is carried by the flap and engages an adjustable stop on the door frame. The arm may also work in a slot in the door, or a thrust-rod working in a hole in the door may operate the arm.
