Hulls; planes for varying draught.-A vessel, which may be used as a torpedo boat or destroyer, ferry boat, mother ship for aeroplanes, or for other purposes, comprises a deck or hull supported on two or more pontoons rigidly connected by hydroplanes or by rods on which hydroplanes are pivoted. In the form shown, a deck d is supported by a framework c above pontoons a, which may be arranged as described in Specification 12,358/11, rigidly connected by hydroplanes b or by rods c on which hydroplanes b are pivoted so that they assume the correct position for either direction of motion of the vessel. One or more aerial propellers and rudders are provided. Dragplates m operated by levers p and springs o are also provided for steering and stopping, and the pivoted hydroplanes b may be coupled together and operated in known manner for steering and stopping. The vessels may be combined with sustaining-planes.
