Abstract

15,287. Coffman, J. H. July 1. Door holders; stops.-A door stop and holder consists of a compressible wedge the upper face 3 of which terminates in an upstanding flange 5 provided with two vertical slots 7 to receive the ends of a resilient strip 6 bent into a curved shape to form a bumper for the door. The door is held on thewedge by a resilient strip 10 inclined in the opposite direction to the upper face and normally projecting above it at a point at least the thickness of the door from the buffer 6. The wedge and spring holder are made from a single piece of sheet metal. The extremity 11 of the spring holder extends beyond the end of the slot to limit the upward movement of the holder. The device is pivotally secured to the floor by a screw 4 to enable it to be swung into an inoperative position.
