Abstract

11,921. Bomhard, K. May 22, 1911, [Convention date]. Void. [Published under Section 91 of the Act.] Planes, arrangement and construction of.- The planes of a machine are superposed, and the upper and lower planes at each side of the machine converge and meet. In one form, Fig. 1, the planes f<1>, f<2> curve upwards and rearwards from the machine, and are stepped. As shown in Fig. 5, the upper plane f<1> is horizontal and the lower plane f<2> is curved upwards. Apertures may he arranged near the tips of the lower plane. The upper plane may extend beyond the tips of the lower plane. In a further modification, Fig. 11, both planes converge rearwards, the upper plane being horizontal and the lower plane curved. The lower plane extends at f<3> beyond the upper plane, which has apertures a near to its tips. Keels l are fixed to the lower plane. Propelling.-An engine and propeller are arranged at the front and rear of the machine, Fig. 5.
