Abstract

6622. Graham, C. W. March 18. [Cognate Application, 20,209/12.] Spray carburettors. -The air and mixture are separately controlled by manually - actuated sliding valves, and the fuel is controlled by a tapered valve which may be carried by one of the other control valves, or may be independently actuated. The air inlet b and the mixture outlet c are controlled by sliding spring - loaded piston valves k, a' respectively, actuated by Bowden cables d. The valve a<1> carries the fuel-valve i<1> controlling the orifice j. In a modification, the fuel-valve is placed between and actuated independently of the air and mixture valves which may be pistons as shown in Fig. 1, or in the form of D-slides with the flat faces adjacent. The fuel-valves in the modifications are adjusted by screwing, in which case a float-chamber is desirable.
