Abstract

20,025. Cloudsley, J. L. Sept. 8. Two-stroke-cycle engines.-Air, compressed in the crank-case, passes to the cylinder through a passage d, both ends of which are piston-controlled, and which may contain a carburettor e; it then passes through a chamber b in the piston, which is open to the crank-case only when the air is flowing from the crank-case, and has the closed end of the piston as one of its walls.
