Spray burners.-In burners of the kind in which oil is sprayed by being passed under pressure through tangential chambers into a central whirling-chamber at the nozzle tip, the nozzle 5 receives in its interior the discharge end of the supply-pipe 4, and a tip 12 formed as a single integral member is internally threaded to receive the nozzle and rests with its inner face on the face of the nozzle, the tangential or eccentric ducts and the whirling- chamber being formed either in the inner face of the tip or in the face of the nozzle. Passages 7 lead the oil to an annular chamber 8, from which it is led by the tangential or eccentric ducts to the chamber 10. According to a modification, the tip may be provided with channels 20, Fig. 8, adapted to register with the annular channel 8, Fig. 1, in the nozzle, and connected by tangential or eccentric ducts 22 with the whirling-chamber 21. When this tip is used, tangential or eccentric ducts are omitted from the corresponding nozzle 5. Specification 12,628/09 is referred to.
