Abstract
17,421. Nordell, C. July 31. Spindle apparatus.-Bobbins are driven from a rotary sleeve 8 mounted on a stationary spindle, by means of a friction clutch 14 and a sbell 17 carrying fingers 21, the lower ends of .which fly out under centrifugal force and cause the beads 22 to engage a circumferential groove in the bobbin. The shell 17 may be disconnected from the clutch 14 by a spring yoke 32, which is raised by a wing shaft 35 operated by a handle 36.
