Abstract

Rests, foot. - In foot-rests attached to seats by adjustable straps, the adjustment is obtained by passing the straps e, f, through openings i, k, l, in plates g, h, fixed to the floor &c. beneath the seat, so that the rest can be adjusted by the occupant while in use. The plates are formed so that a rug may be placed between the upper and lower parts. The framework c, d supporting the foot-rest may be open at the front as shown at y, z, so as to be resilient. The straps may be adjusted by buckles r hinged to fixing-plates s, Fig. 2, or may be passed over rollers w, Fig. 3, and carry loose buckles x.
