Abstract

12,825. Eggleton, W. May 29. Wrench handles.-A spanner of the open fixed jaw type is provided with a handle capable of being flexed in a plane in which the axis of the nut lies. The handle may be formed of a number of links 6, 7, 8, 9, Fig. 2, of the same size and shape; or, as shown in Fig. 3, the spanner head may be hinged by a pin 11 to the ends of superposed flexible metal plates 13, 14, 15, which are bent over to form an eye and secured by rivets 16. Only one flexible plate may be used.
