Abstract
9289. Holt, H. E. S. April 13. Razors, safety. In folding razors of the kind described in Specification 10,785/09, the blade is held on headed pins b, c of which one b is fixed to the holder d and the other c is adapted to be rotated by a lever e and has an eccentric portion engaging the blade. The guard may be formed integrally with the holder d or may be stamped from sheet metal, Fig. 8, a narrow strip g being bent upward from the plane of the guard to act as a spring. The guard is held on the holding-pins by the slots h. A stropping-shield formed with a spring and slots like the guard f is provided to cover one edge while the other is being stropped and to ensure that the blade is held at the correct stropping angle.
