Window holders for sliding sashes. - Sliding sashes are held in any position by a bowed plate 8 pressed outwards by springs 5, which are mounted in a block 1 between the plate 8 and an adjustable back plate 12. The plate 8 is secured to the block 1 by screws 7 passing through slotted holes in the plate. The back plate 12 is adjusted by means of the screw 15 countersunk in the block 1 and engaging a hole tapped in the plate 12, the plate 8 being provided with a hole 18 to give access to the screw. The holder may be mounted on the sash or window frame.
