Pivot adjustments.-A door or window shutter 4, Fig. 8, is held at various angles by a turnbuckle 7 engaging one or other of two series of notches formed in staggered arrangement in the outside and inside edges of a segmental plate 1 fixed concentric with the hinge. The turn-buckle, shown in Fig. 7, is fixed by nuts on the spindle of a handle 6 held in the disengaged position by a spring catch 5. An adjustable angle-piece 2 forms a stop for the shutter, to protect the jamb.
