Abstract

2347. Jochum, P. Jan. 30. Roller mills.-Hot cement clinkers from a kiln are crushed between water-cooled rollers and are simultaneously cooled by spraying with water. The rollers of the crushing-mill may be hollow for the circulation of a cooling-medium, or they may be sprayed with water internally. The material may be further cooled in a conveyer which carries the cement to a store.
